Other Economic Initiatives
Through a series of impactful community-driven initiatives, we have focused on improving quality of life, promoting education, and creating sustainable opportunities for local residents.
From installing solar geysers that enhance hygiene and free up resources for school feeding programs, to providing semi-skills training that empowers individuals with practical knowledge for employment, and extending solar lighting to hundreds of homes to improve safety and learning conditions – each project reflects our commitment to progress, self-reliance, and long-term community development.
Solar Geyser
Installed a solar geyser for Topline Intermediate school.
IMPACT:
- Access to hot water.
- Use clean utensils and reduced hygiene risks.
- Money used to buy gas previously is now used to buy more food for feeding scheme.
Semi-Skills Training
Partnered with a local Training Centre – the Palms. Focus is on Problem Solving, Basic Hand tools, Basic Electrical and Mechanical Training.
BENEFICIARIES: 137 (65 are females).
IMPACT:
- Student found employment at various companies.
Duineveld Solar Lighting
BENEFICIARIES: 305 homes.
IMPACT:
- Save lives and provided electricity.
- Improved learning conditions for kids
- Created employment.
- Local Capacity Building: Units are maintained buy locals. 20 bicycles sponsored for transport of field workers carrying out maintenance on the Home Solar Projects.
